Come To Recruitment Events

Every year the Actives of Satyros host  many events at the beginning of the semester to get more students involved.  Recruitment events can be social events like bowling at Sparky's in the MU and dinners with the actives or professional events like firm tours and Q&A's with alumni.  These events are designed to let other students get to know the chapter and figure out if Alpha Rho Chi is right for them.  There is no obligation to join, and the events are free to all ASU students.  Check out our Calendar for information about upcoming recruitment events.

Interviewing and Pledging*

At the end of the recruitment period the chapter invites interested students to interview to make sure the group is right for them.   After interviews many of the students are offered invitations to pledge called bids.   If the students accept then they will become pledges of the chapter.   Pledging is like taking on a one credit hour class.  Pledges will attend one meeting a week and some chapter events.   During this time the actives work with the pledges to teach them about the history of the chapter and fraternity and how the chapter is run.  This is also a time for the actives and pledges to get to know each other better through social events and activities.
